The Women of Brewster drive, written by Gloria Naylor, is a novel of sevensome-spot stories of women who draw proscribed on Brewster pasture. Each story focuses on the life of matchless or two women on Brewster come out, which each story is incorporated in some way with the story following it. Brewster Place is a street in which all these women live. When first leaping the book I thought that it was going to be seven stories that had something in public but not as parking area as it turned out to be. The first chapter I got a instinct of what Brewster Place was, who lived there and why it was such an exchange place. I felt that the people who lived on Brewster Place were public punished and isolated from the rest of the t let. That was due to the hem in that was set at the end of the street to keep the carry of trade despicable but it separated those on Brewster Place to those of the out-of-door world. The first character I met was Mattie Michae l, she was reasonable moving to Brewster Place. Mattie I believe was very spoiled by her yield and sheltered as well. She did have a sense of the out-of-door world as many young girls search at a young age, she was not given that option.

I debate the reason for her doing what she did was because she was so sheltered and thought that she could commit her own decisions but her own decisions got her mixed up in a situation leaving her basically alone to take aim disturbance of her son. I believe that her father abandoned her because she went against him and make her own decisions. Etta was a character w ho did not settle pass with a man, she was ! very free spirited. I receive that convey Mattie and Etta unneurotic brings out the best in both of them. Etta brings out the modify in Mattie and Mattie tries to approach Etta to settle down. Etta I feel manage was using the men she met for status reasons to keep herself up in the community. Next Kiswana, the only women who really chose to live on Brewster Place. She wants to set out more African so she changes her digit from Melanie to...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website:
